Prospect was established in 1827 and is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bethany, Waterbury, Cheshire, and Naugatuck. The town is approximately 5 miles long and 4 miles wide, offering a blend of residential neighborhoods, open space, and local businesses. With a population of approximately 9,650 residents as of 2020, Prospect is known for its strong sense of community, small-town character, and convenient access to surrounding cities and major routes.
