Bulk Recycling Center

Capture

The Prospect Recycling Center is located at 157 Plank Road. Recycling has been mandated by the State of Connecticut, and the Town of Prospect has been cooperating with and supporting this effort for many years to promote responsible waste management and environmental stewardship.

The Recycling Center is strictly for in-town residential use by Prospect residents only. Use of the facility is limited to individuals and households who live within the boundaries of the Town of Prospect. The Recycling Center is intended for Mr. and Mrs. Prospect residents and for recyclable materials that are generated solely from residential properties located in town.

Commercial use of any kind is not permitted, including materials generated by businesses, contractors, landlords, or properties located outside of Prospect. Residents may only dispose of recyclable materials that originate from their own in-town residence.

These rules are in place to ensure the Recycling Center remains available, efficient, and sustainable for Prospect residents, and to allow the Town to remain in compliance with State of Connecticut recycling requirements
