April Newsletter Recycling Center Notice: Notice: • RECYCLING CENTER DOES NOT OPEN UNTIL APRIL 1ST, 2026. • YOU NEED A NEW RED STICKER. ALL OTHER COLORS ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTED You may get a new RED recycling pass for the 2026 Year ONLY, in the mayor's office Beginning on THURSDAY MARCH 26TH 2026. Commercial use is not allowed. To receive a new RED pass, you must bring: • Proof of residency (driver’s license) • Current vehicle registration • $25 Cash Only NO CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL, NO HOUSEHOLD TRASH, NO CONTRACTORS *If you need to borrow a vehicle, you may obtain A One-Day pass at the Town Hall. $5 Per One-Day Pass, limit of 5 one-day passes per year *Dump trucks, flat beds, rack body trucks, and U-Hauls are NOT allowed to enter. Tires -off the rims and a limit to ONLY 4 $5 PER TIRE – come to Town Hall to pay for tires. MUST SHOW RECEIPT FOR TIRES AT GATE OF RECYCLE CEQ Notice: Connecticut State Council on Environmental Quality The March 17, 2026 edition of the Environmental Monitor has been published. It can be viewed at: portal.ct.gov/CEQ_Environmental_Monitor and is available in the town clerk’s office. The Environmental Monitor provides notice of proposed state actions, including transfers of state-owned land. In it are electronic links to additional information about the projects and instructions on how to submit comments. In this edition: East Hampton, Haddam/Higganum, Kent, Manchester, Middletown, New Britain, Preston, Rocky Hill, and Westport. The next edition of the Environmental Monitor will be published on April 7, 2026.
