The Town of Prospect, Connecticut, proudly hosts its annual Pumpkin Festival every October. Since its inception in 2004, the festival has continued to grow each year, becoming a beloved community tradition. Prospect takes great pride in creating a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere that residents of all ages can enjoy.
Each year, Prospect students from Pre-K through 8th grade participate in a Pumpkin Decorating Contest for a chance to earn a ribbon. The Town also provides scarecrows to residents, inviting them to dress them up and enter for a chance to win prizes for the best costume. In addition, the festival features a Car and Truck Costume Parade, in which decorated vehicles travel down Route 69, starting at CVS.
In 2022, the festival expanded to include a Halloween Dog Costume Contest, allowing pet owners to dress up their dogs and compete for a gift card.
Our mission is to bring the community together by offering food, fun, and engaging activities from local vendors—creating a celebration the whole family can enjoy.
