CEQ NOTICE: Connecticut State Council on Environmental Quality The October 6, 2026 edition of the Environmental Monitor has been published. It can be viewed at: portal.ct.gov/CEQ_Environmental_Monitor and is available in the town clerk’s office. The Environmental Monitor provides notice of proposed state actions, including transfers of state-owned land. In it are electronic links to additional information about the projects and instructions on how to submit comments. In this edition: Bristol, Clinton, Cromwell, Guilford, Hamden, Hartford, Killingly, Mansfield, New Haven, and Seymour. The next edition of the Environmental Monitor will be published on October 20, 2026. FINAL CALL FOR PUMPKIN FESTIVAL VENDORS!: Don’t forget! **Friday, October 9, 2026, at 4:00 PM is the FINAL DEADLINE** to sign up as a **Craft Vendor or Information Booth** for the Town of Prospect’s Annual Pumpkin Festival. After **4:00 PM on Friday, October 9th**, we will **no longer accept Craft Vendors or Information Booth Vendors**. If you are interested in participating, please complete the vendor application and **send your completed application to [email protected] by Friday, October 9th at 4:00 PM.** We look forward to seeing everyone at the Annual Prospect Pumpkin Festival! Horizon View Road Drainage Improvements: The Town of Prospect will be making drainage improvements on Horizon View Road, beginning October 5, 2026, weather permitting. The project will replace a damaged drainage pipe to help prevent erosion and protect the roadway. This project is fully funded by revenue generated through the Town’s Automated Traffic Enforcement Safety Device (ATESD) program.

⚠️If you need a new pass, please visit the Mayor’s Office with: ♻️

  • Vehicle registration for the vehicle you plan to use (must be registered in Prospect)
  • Valid driver’s license (must be a Prospect resident)
  • $25 cash only

⚠️Important Reminder: ♻️

  • A valid red recycling pass is required for entry. All other colored passes are no longer active and will not be accepted.
  • If you need to borrow a vehicle, you may obtain A One-Day pass at the Town Hall. $5 Per One-Day Pass.
  • Tires off the rims and a limit to ONLY 4 tires per visit, $5 PER TIRE – come to Town Hall to pay for tires. Must give paper for tires at the gate of the recycling center.
  • PLEASE NOTE YOU WILL NEED TO RENEW YOUR DUMP PASS EACH YEAR IT IS ONLY GOOD FOR THE 2026 CALANADER YEAR
